We are committed to seeing people with a learning disability involved in choosing and developing the staff that support them. There are examples of good practice in services in East Sussex and Brighton and Hove from which we can all learn. The aim of this guide is to provide services with ideas about how they can involve people with a learning disability in choosing and developing staff. It is intended to promote good practice but should always be used in conjunction with an organisation’s own personnel policy and procedures.
