With support from the Government of Canada and the Manitoba Government, Abilities Manitoba has launched a recruitment and awareness campaign to attract Direct Support Professionals to the Community Living sector. A variety of stakeholders including people with lived disability experience, service organizations, and current Direct Support Professionals supported the development of the campaign's messaging and strategy. The campaign ran from September 2022 to December 2022 and showcased digital media adds through a number of platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, transit shelter ads, and Google.

To support organizations in their DSP recruitment efforts into the new year, Abilities Manitoba has developed a promotional toolkit full of free, downloadable and customizable resources. You'll find hiring posters, greeting cards, sample blog posts, logos, photography, social media post templates and more that you can use as you wish to support DSP recruitment for your organization.

We encourage organizations to incorporate the new Direct Support Profession Manitoba logo into your recruitment & marketing materials wherever possible. Consistent brand messaging can help unify and strengthen our sector across the province.
