Protections and Investigations / Western Region

The Provincial Protections Investigation Unit (PPIU) became a centralized unit in August 2021. Prior to that, each region conducted their own investigations. We are curious about your experiences since the centralizing of investigations under the Adults Living with an Intellectual Disability Act (formerly known as the VPA or Vulnerable Person’s Act. Separate from centralizing, we'd like to gather your feedback to share with the Dept of Families. We are seeking to understand the themes and make suggestions for improvements.
