Each session will focus on one guideline area, explore what leading practice looks like, review ready-to-use tools and policies, and create space for leaders to share successes, challenges, and resources.

Getting Rights, Right! – Direct Support Professionals
Getting Rights Right is a full-day, interactive workshop that explores how direct support staff can turn rights from abstract ideas into everyday practice.
Together, we’ll look at the history and laws that shape disability rights, unpack what real choice and decision-making mean, and reflect on the barriers that still get in the way.
Through discussion and practical strategies, participants will learn how to support people with disabilities to take the driver’s seat in their own lives—balancing rights and responsibilities, navigating “grey areas,” and standing beside people as equal citizens.
