This training is excellent for people working in a direct support capacity. Course participants will learn:

1. A brief history of institutionalization, segregation, isolation, and the importance of inclusion and relationships.
2. Self-reflect on values, beliefs, biases, goals, and experiences.
3. Unique Perspectives of individuals, families, and support professionals.
4. The importance of disability support workers defining their roles in relation to friendships.
5. Giftedness, the importance of being valued and how to think creatively.
